Philippe Chatillon

Philippe Chatillon, a Jura-based artisan winemaker, managed the Domaine de la Pinte in Arbois for 18 years, gradually converting it to biodynamic farming. Living among the vines, he chose organic practices to protect both his family and the land, especially after a pesticide accident in 1990. Following experiences in Lirac and Bordeaux, he returned to the Jura in 2013 to establish his own estate. He began with 2 hectares in Passenans and gradually expanded his biodynamic vineyard. Working by hand and with a backpack sprayer, he cultivates several local grape varieties. Since 2019, his son Anatole has joined him to continue the legacy.

Cartaux Bougaud

The Domaine Cartaux Bougaud, located in Quintigny, has its roots in a family story that began in 1975 with Anne-Marie Bougaud and Guy Cartaux. Their son Sébastien, trained in Beaune, made his first vintage in 1990 and returned to passionately cultivate this Jura terroir. In 2010, the estate took a decisive turn toward environmentally respectful viticulture, banning herbicides and synthetic products. It also became a place of transmission, welcoming young winemakers and trainees. Today, Sébastien works alongside his partner Sandrine, and their son Paul has now joined the venture. Across 20 hectares, they produce honest, vibrant, and deeply rooted wines — including the precious Vin Jaune.

Designation(s) : L'Étoile, Côtes du Jura, Crémant du Jura, Vin Jaune, Vin de Paille

Grape(s) : Savagnins, Chardonnay, Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Trousseau
